Aneesa Janering

I am a mother, a wife, a home educator to my kid, a home cook, an avid gardener and a maker.

I am a certified coach, a therapeutic art coach and have a 10 years of tech entrepreneurship background.

All of these titles and experiences led me to finding a real passion for creating jewellery that shines.

The Eighth Hour Studio saved me.

When my daughter was born in 2022, I suffered postpartum depression alongside anxiety and an autoimmune disease.

The lack of support from health services and the stigma attached to mental health with most of the people closest to me started taking its toll. Until my husband who has been my biggest supporter since day one, said "make something with your hands... you're happiest when you're creating"

The Eighth Hour Studio was born.

It brought me back from depression and gave me the outlet for my creativity and love of colour.

It is the time where I stop managing other people's days and needs and start engineering my own art.

Beauty should not be fragile.

I saw a gap in the market: jewellery that looked like art but possessed the structural integrity of industrial design. The result is Gold Lace, an architectural wire-weaving technique that is as resilient as it is radiant.
